Paige Sullivan

––

The Prince’s Trust New Zealand Enterprise course alumni, March, 2020.

Paige Sullivan is a busy university student studying law and commerce, but she also finds time to run her own start-up beauty business.

The 21-year-old completed The Prince’s Trust New Zealand Enterprise course online during the nationwide level four lockdown in early 2020.

The course was a fantastic opportunity to learn skills that change your life.

An attack by a former boyfriend left Paige Sullivan with anxiety and struggling to complete her last year of school.

The now 21-year-old managed to pass her final set of high school exams and the following year she started studying law and commerce at the University of Canterbury, but the anxiety followed her to uni and continued to affect her academic work.

Paige had dabbled with starting a beauty business and during Covid-19 lockdown, she completed The Prince’s Trust New Zealand Enterprise Programme online.

At the end of the course she was matched with her mentor, Martin Smith, a former C.E.O. of L’Oréal New Zealand.

Paige says the mentorship was the best thing as Martin has, “an incredible amount of experience in the beauty world.”

Paige has launched P.S. Beauty - a premium beauty brand for both home and salon use - and her first range of samples recently arrived in Christchurch.

She says the anxiety never really goes away, but the doing the Enterprise course and having a mentor means she feels like she can do anything she wants to do.
