Paige Sullivan

Pss Beauty

Paige Sullivan’s relationship with PTANZ started shortly after she left school and is one of bravery, resilience and strength.

The now 23-year-old suffered a violent assault during her last year at high school which left her with anxiety, low self esteem and struggling to focus on her future.

Paige was floundering academically, but she was (and still is) interested in business, so she completed the PTANZ Enterprise workshop online. She says she “learned all of the basics to get my business idea off the ground, alongside teaching me more about myself as an individual and the importance of mindset.”

After the course, Paige was matched with a mentor, former L’Oréal NZ country manager Martin Smith, which she says was “the most valuable thing.” Together they have refined and developed, Pss (Paige Sullivan’s Secrets) Beauty; luxury false lashes designed to inspire self-esteem through beautiful eyes.

“Creating a business centred around female empowerment and creating success in whatever you want to do,” lies at the heart of Paige’s business philosophy.

Paige has overcome many hurdles, both personally and professionally, and next year she will complete her undergraduate university degree.

Pss Beauty recently received funds from He Kākano and will launch in June 2023 to coincide with the school ball season.

“I get a sense of purpose from the business; when I started, I had absolutely no self-esteem or confidence and I didn’t know what I was doing.”
