Renwick Road

Renwick Road is a remote thoroughfare in an isolated part of Northland and also the inspiration behind a young entrepreneur’s dream.

20-year-old Kaija Pirini and many of her whānau and friends live on Renwick Road and work on the nearby farms and forests.

She wants to personalise their work and safety wear and
“create Renwick Road merch that incorporates Māori design.”

Kaijia says she’s “had lots of interest and lots of people like the idea as they are proud of where they live.”

Renwick Road was granted $10,000 from He Kākano so she
can explore launching and expanding her business idea.

Workwear these days is all the same, so I just want
to spice it up a bit.
